This manuscript explores empirical linkages between a suite of concentrations of chemicals of emerging concern (CEC) and hydroclimatological and spatial watershed characteristics. Our analysis was carried out at the regional scale allowing us to explore how complex patterns of land use relate to CEC concentrations.

Thirty years of glyphosate‐resistant crops and weeds: Current situation and future prospects
Since 1996, when the first glyphosate‐resistant crop was commercialized and the first resistant weed was reported, resistance has expanded globally. This review analyzes emergence patterns across weed species, crops, regions, resistance mechanisms, and herbicides.

Environmental Conditions, Variety, and Application Timing Influence on S-Metolachlor Sugarbeet Crop Safety [PDF]
Glyphosate-resistant weeds in North Dakota and Minnesota sugarbeet growing regions have necessitated research on S-metolachlor. S-metolachlor can be applied early-postemergence in sugarbeet but has not been labeled preemergence as reductions in ...

ABSTRACT Since grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is gaining recognition as a climate‐resilient alternative to maize in Central Europe, optimizing the cultivation technology of commercial hybrids has become a key area of research. A 2‐year study (2023–2024) was conducted in Keszthely, Hungary to assess the plant‐ and plot‐level responses of four

Biodegradation and toxicity of a maize herbicide mixture: mesotrione, nicosulfuron and S-metolachlor
The prediction of chemical mixture toxicity is a major concern regarding unintentional mixture of pesticides from agricultural lands treated with various such compounds. We focused our work on a mixture of three herbicides commonly applied on maize crops within a fortnight, namely mesotrione (β-triketone), nicosulfuron (sulfonylurea) and S-metolachlor (

Efficacy of S-metolachlor + glyphosate for Weed Control in Different Levels of Eucalyptus Straw
The occurrence of weeds in eucalyptus plantations can cause losses in productivity. Chemical control is widely used, but the efficiency of herbicides depends on management and environmental factors. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of S-metolachlor + glyphosate in the control of grasses in different densities of eucalyptus straw and with ...

ABSTRACT Oil sorghum (OS) has been developed by engineering grain (TX430) and sweet (Ramada) genetic backgrounds to accumulate triacylglycerols (TAG) in vegetative tissues as an energy‐dense feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other biofuels. This study evaluated two TX430 OS lines (TxHO‐2, TxHO‐3) and two Ramada OS lines (RmHO‐1, RmHO‐2)
