Manejo de plantas daninhas na cultura do algodoeiro em sistema de plantio direto Weed management of cotton under no-tillage

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2006
Este trabalho foi realizado com objetivo de avaliar a eficiência dos herbicidas smetolachlor, em pré-emergência, e trifloxysulfuron-sodium, aplicado aos 18 dias após a emergência do algodão (DAE), em sistema de plantio direto.

A dual tank precision sprayer to overcome antagonism of mixing dicamba and clethodim for control of volunteer corn in soybean

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract The mixing of clethodim and dicamba in the same tank could lead to reduced grass weed control, suggesting antagonism. Recently commercialized precision dual tank sprayers can apply two herbicides simultaneously through different boom systems, which may reduce potential herbicide antagonism for effective grass weed control.

In vitro dissipation of S-metolachlor herbicide in different pH water

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Studies, 2020
In vitro dissipation of S-metolachlor was studied in neutral, acidic and basic water at 0.2 – 0.4 µg/g (T1) and 0.4 - 0.8 µg/g (T2) levels of fortification at All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues, ICAR, Unit-9, Anand Agricultural University, Anand (Gujarat), India.

Henbit is an attainable cover crop

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 1, June 2026.
Henbit is a short‐season plant that grows through the winter. It seeds itself in the spring with seeds that stay dormant through the summer and germinate in the fall. Winter growth makes henbit a good cover crop for the offseason of summer cash crops. Abstract Henbit (Lamium amplexicaule L.) is a potential cover crop in the Central United States, but ...

Decreased Glutathione Levels Enhance the Susceptibility of Maize Seedlings to Metolachlor

open access: yes, 1993
The effect of decreased glutathione levels on the action of the herbicide metolachlor was studied in shoots of maize seedlings. Metolachlor inhibited growth by impairing the length, the dry weight, and the fresh weight of maize shoots.

Degradation of herbicide S-metolachlor by electrochemical AOPs using a boron-doped diamond anode [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The degradation and mineralization ability of electrochemical processes like electro-oxidation with electrogenerated H2O2 (EO-H2O2), electro-Fenton (EF) and UVA-assisted photoelectro-Fenton (PEF) has been comparatively studied for solutions of the ...

Preemergence herbicides on weed control in elephant grass pasture

open access: yesCiência e Agrotecnologia
Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum Schum.) is an important forage crop that has been proposed as a potential feedstock for bioenergy production. However, weed interference is a major factor limiting elephant grass production.

Green foxtail (Setaria viridis) and puncturevine (Tribulus terrestris) control in imazamox‐, quizalofop‐, and nicosulfuron‐resistant grain sorghum in semiarid Central Great Plains

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Recent commercialization of herbicide‐resistant (HR) grain sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] hybrids, including iGrowth, DoubleTeam, and Inzen enables the use of imazamox, quizalofop, and nicosulfuron, respectively, for annual grass weed control.

Interspecific Differences in the Response of Autotrophic Microorganisms to Atrazine and S-Metolachlor Exposure

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Atrazine and S-metolachlor are herbicides widely used on corn and soybean crops where they are sometimes found in concentrations of concern in nearby aquatic ecosystems, potentially affecting autotrophic organisms. The aim of this study was to investigate the response of the green algae Enallax costatus, the diatom Gomphonema parvulum and a culture of ...

Corn response to biological products and a nitrification inhibitor

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Atmospheric nitrogen (N2) is converted into ammonia (NH3), a form that plants can use, through biological nitrogen (N) fixation by various microorganisms and bacterial genera. This study assessed the field performance of three biological N‐fixing products, or biostimulants (BS), including Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus (BS1), Klebsiella ...
