Inpatient Food Insecurity and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospitalization Outcomes
ABSTRACT Children with cancer and blood disorders are at risk for food insecurity (FI). We aimed to describe the association of inpatient food insecurity (IFI) and hospitalization outcomes among patients admitted to the pediatric hematology oncology service. Of 325 caregivers screened for IFI, 60 (18.6%) screened positive.

ABSTRACT Purpose Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors often recur despite multimodality therapy. Although re‐irradiation (re‐RT) has historically been limited by concerns for severe late toxicities, modern techniques have renewed interest in this approach. Proton therapy provides dosimetric advantages that may enable curative re‐treatment with

Construction of S-N curve evaluation model based on entropy for welded joints
The S-N curve slope of the welded joints is substantially different from that of the conventional base material. Based on the definition of entropy in physics and thermodynamics, a S-N curve prediction model was introduced.

Chow motives associated to certain algebraic Hecke characters
Shimura and Taniyama proved that if $A$ is a potentially CM abelian variety over a number field $F$ with CM by a field $K$ linearly disjoint from F, then there is an algebraic Hecke character $\lambda_A$ of $K$ such that $L(A/F,s)=L(\lambda_A,s)$.

ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

ABSTRACT Treatment‐associated hepatotoxicity (TAH) is a common complication of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) treatment, but genetic risk factors remain poorly understood. We evaluated the SOD2 rs4880 variant in 544 children with ALL at Texas Children's Hospital. After adjusting for demographic and clinical covariates, the rs4880 C allele

Analytical Studies on S-N Curves for Some Steels [PDF]
Analytical Studies on S-N Curves for some Steels Somnath Chattopadhyay Georgia Southern University ABSTRACTExperimental data are often employed to obtain stress amplitude versus number of cycles tofailure characteristics of materials (S-N curve). This activity as a laboratory component of ajunior level materials science course explores the possible ...

On a Lagrangian formulation of the incompressible Euler equation
In this paper we show that the incompressible Euler equation on the Sobolev space $H^s(\R^n)$, $s > n/2+1$, can be expressed in Lagrangian coordinates as a geodesic equation on an infinite dimensional manifold. Moreover the Christoffel map describing the

ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing
