Normal curves in n-dimensional Euclidean space
In this paper, we give a generalization of normal curves to n-dimensional Euclidean space. Then we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a curve to be a normal curve in the n-dimensional Euclidean space. We characterize the relationship between

S. N. Bernstein Type Estimations in the Mean on the Curves in a Complex Plane [PDF]
The present paper discusses in the metric Lp S. N. Bernstein type inequalities of the most general kind on very general accessible classes of curves in a complex plane. The obtained estimations, generally speaking, are not improvable.

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

ABSTRACT Introduction Bloodstream infections due to repeated vascular access (VA) puncture and circuit connections remain major concerns in hemodialysis. Therefore, we examined current practices for glove, disinfectant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use according to VA type in national university hospitals in Japan.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Experimental research on fatigue characteristics of X12Cr13 stainless steel
The fatigue test was carried out by simplified lifting method, and the fatigue characteristic curve of X12Cr13 stainless steel at stress ratio of R = 0.1 was plotted at a single point, with the result that the fatigue strength is about 0.5 times the ...
