S-process studies - The exact solution
The exact solution to the unbranched s-process network is computed for the range of neutron exposures of astrophysical interest, and the exact solution for the case of an arbitrary degree of degeneracy of the cross-section values is obtained. The validity of the Clayton, Fowler, Hull, and Zimmerman approximate solution is determined by direct ...

ABSTRACT Background Patients with high‐risk neuroblastoma who either are refractory to induction chemotherapy or relapse following multi‐modal treatment have a dismal prognosis. Based on data from the BEACON trial, since 2021 the UK national guidelines recommend bevacizumab, irinotecan, and temozolomide (BIT) for patients with relapsed/refractory ...

Stellar Mixing and s-PROCESS Nucleosynthesis
A model for the operation of the s-process is studied in which neutron capture occurs only in a thin layer at the bottom of a deep convective envelope. Simultaneous convective mixing and neutron capture are described by means of diffusion equations. We find that this model admits abundance distributions which resemble the solar system distribution, but

ABSTRACT Background Alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) is a rare soft tissue sarcoma occurring most commonly in adolescence and young adulthood. Methods We present the clinical characteristics, treatments, and outcomes of patients with newly diagnosed ASPS enrolled on the Children's Oncology Group study ARST0332.

Implementing Health‐Related Quality of Life Assessment in Pediatric Oncology: A Feasibility Study
ABSTRACT Background There is growing interest in embedding health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) assessment and patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs) within clinical cancer care. This study evaluated the feasibility, acceptability, and usability of implementing an electronic PROM (ePROM) platform to measure HRQoL in children with cancer ...

Neutron capture time scale of the s-process, estimated from s-process krypton in a meteorite
A krypton fraction enriched in s-process isotopes was extracted from a mineral fraction of the Murchison C2 chondrite. The (Kr-86)/(Kr-84) ratio is enhanced by 6 standard deviations, showing that significant amounts of Kr-86 were made in the s-process, despite the short, 10.8 yr beta-decay half-life of its precursor, Kr-85.

Treatment Decision‐Making Roles and Preferences Among Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer
ABSTRACT Background Decision‐making (DM) dynamics between adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer, parents, and oncologists remain underexplored in diverse populations. We examined cancer treatment DM preferences among an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse group of AYAs and their parents.

ABSTRACT Background Parents of children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often experience significant caregiver burden and disruption to their well‐being. While parent quality of life (QoL) during treatment is well characterized, little is known about outcomes during early survivorship.
