Games and gamification projects in the Australian public sector
Abstract This article surveys the arrival of gameful government into Australian public sector practice. Gameful government is a shorthand, descriptive term denoting the interpenetration of (video)games, and design elements and thinking from them, into public sector work.

Site investigation techniques for DNAPL source and plume zone characterisation [PDF]
Establishing the location of the Source Area BioREmediation (SABRE) research cell was a primary objective of the site characterisation programme. This bulletin describes the development of a two-stage site characterisation methodology that combined ...

Sabre: The Augmented Bass Clarinet
An augmented bass clarinet is developed in order to extend the performance and composition potential of the instru-ment. Four groups of sensors are added: key positions, inertial movement, mouth pressure and trigger switches. The instrument communicates wirelessly with a receiver setup which produces an OSC data stream, usable by any appli-cation on a ...

ABSTRACT This ex vivo study characterised the mesial root morphology of mandibular first molars with a middle mesial canal (MMC) using micro‐CT. Among 469 scanned molars, 42 (8.96%) presented an MMC. Morphological parameters analysed included canal configuration, chamber orifice features, dentine thickness, isthmus type, and aspect ratio.

Nonparametric density estimation of continuous part of a mixed measure
We consider a pair of random variables(X,Y) whose probability measure is the sum of an absolutely continuous measure, a discrete measure and a finite number of absolutely continuous measures on several lines(1).

Bartlett's Delta in the SABR Model [PDF]
We refine the analysis of hedging strategies for options under the SABR model carried out in [2]. In particular, we provide a theoretical justification of the empirical observation made in [2] that the modified delta ("Bartlett's delta") introduced there provides a more accurate and robust hedging strategy than the conventional SABR delta hedge.

Observers point to the lack of a single point of accountability in defence procurement, a culture of risk aversion, and layers of bureaucratic process as key sources of the problem.
