Development of SAC–OCDMA in FSO with multi-wavelength laser source

Optics Communications, 2015
Abstract We propose and demonstrate a free space optical network, based on spectral amplitude coding optical code division multiple access (SAC–OCDMA) with a multi-wavelength laser source. A detailed theoretical analysis that represents the characteristics of SAC–OCDMA system was developed.

Design and Analysis of Different Decoders for SAC-OCDMA Systems

2016
Spectral amplitude coding for OCDMA (SAC-OCDMA) reduces MAI as compared to other types of OCDMA coding techniques. Different decoder designs are presented for spectral amplitude coding which are simulated on OptiSystem-13. Enhanced double weight code is used in wavelength selection of users for simulation.

SOA/SPD-based incoherent SAC-OCDMA system at 9×5Gbps [PDF]

open access: yesIEICE Electronics Express, 2013
To boost the performance of spectral-amplitude coding optical code-division multiple-access (SAC-OCDMA) systems, the need for an effective solution to diminish phase-induced intensity noise (PIIN) is becoming progressively more crucial.

Capacity of SOA-Assisted SAC-OCDMA

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2010
We present, for the first time, the performance analysis of spectral amplitude coded optical code-division multiple access (SAC-OCDMA) systems using a multicanonical Monte Carlo algorithm, and examine the efficiency of semicondutor optical amplifier (SOA)-based intensity noise suppression in SAC-OCDMA as the number of users is increased.

The SAC OCDMA PON with Super Perfect Difference Code

2011 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2011
In this article, the super perfect difference (SPD) code family is presented and used in the compact spectral amplitude code (SAC) optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) passive optical networks (PONs). Based on the excellent properties of the SPD, such as low in-phase cross correlation (IPCC) value, cyclic shift, and excellent orthogonality, we

System design for a SAC OCDMA-FSO network

2017 4th International Conference on Signal Processing and Integrated Networks (SPIN), 2017
Over the last two decades free space optics (FSO) have turned out to be increasingly fascinating as an alternative to radio frequency communication which can support longer distance and provides higher bandwidth. An Optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) over the FSO communication system is very beneficial to offer high data rate transmission ...

Performance analysis of a SAC-OCDMA FSO network

2017 4th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC), 2017
With the emerging of advanced technologies in the global market, now-a-days optical networks are the most ideal medium for high bandwidth communication. Optical wireless networks predicated on free space optics (FSO) technology must be designed to combat changes in the atmosphere, which can affect FSO system performance capacity.
