The serine palmitoyl transferase of plant pathogenic fungi: a promising new target for the development of novel crop protection solutions†

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
High biological activity of pyridazine carboxamides against a wide range of Ascomycetes led to identification of a new biochemical target for agrochemical fungicides – serine palmitoyl transferase. Abstract BACKGROUND Plant pathogens pose a significant threat to global agriculture and, thus to world food supplies, requiring the development of ...

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Targeted Selenite Adsorption Using Defective Fe‐BTC: Effective in Acidic and Alkaline Conditions

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Amorphous Fe‐BTC exhibits high stability and porosity in both acidic and alkaline conditions. Its abundant metal defect sites enable selective adsorption of Se(IV) species, even in the presence of competing anions. Notably, Fe‐BTC achieves effective adsorption at both pH 2 and pH 11 via distinct pH‐dependent mechanisms: monodentate binding at pH 2 and ...
