Stress-guided lightweight design and optimisation for 3D printing sacrificial moulds
3D printing has become widely-applied for manufacturing sacrificial moulds. However, conventional mould designs often involve simple geometries like cube, leading to excessive material usage and high production costs.

Additive Manufacturing of Alumina‐Reinforced Elastomers
Vat‐photopolymerized elastomers reinforced with platelet‐shaped alumina exhibited preferential orientation, reduced porosity, and significantly enhanced mechanical performance. A 3 wt% platelet loading increased tensile strength from 12.4 to 45.7 MPa, highlighting the critical role of filler morphology in elastomeric VPP composites.

Photochemical Generation of Strong One-Electron Reductants via Light-Induced Electron Transfer with Reversible Donors Followed by Cross Reaction with Sacrificial Donors [PDF]
This work illustrates a modified approach for employing photoinduced electron transfer reactions coupled to secondary irreversible electron transfer processes for the generation of strongly reducing equivalents in solution. Through irradiation of [Ru(LL)

Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

Fluidic networks templated by sacrificial PCL structures. [PDF]
a) Schematic for a workflow which begins with a sintered PCL structure and yields the corresponding fluidic network as void space in a PDMS slab. The original PCL structure is vapor smoothed before encapsulation in a block of PDMS.

Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...

Whodunit? A comparative analysis of Buphonia [PDF]
The Athenian custom of Buphonia stands out as a complex, amusing, and at times unpredictable example of religious practice in ancient Greece. It is documented by several ancient authors, whose primary focus was explaining the ritual's aetiology.

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

What we like the bones to tell us: a sacrificial wish list [PDF]
Animal bones comprise the only category of evidence for Greek cult which is constantly significantly increasing. The use of ever more sophisticated excavation methods demonstrates the importance of the zooarchaeological material for the study of Greek ...
