3D-microfabrication by two-photon polymerization of an integrated sacrificial stencil mask
This work aims at developing a new and unconventional Sacrificial Stencil Mask (SSM) technology by exploiting Two-Photon Polymerization (2PP) in an IP-L/SU-8 double layer resist system.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

A novel sacrificial-layer process based on anodic bonding and its application in an accelerometer
It is found in our experiments that the depletion layer of anodic bonding is etched faster than the bulk glass (Pyrex 7740) in hydrofluoric acid (HF). Based on this interesting phenomenon, a novel process of a sacrificial layer is proposed in this paper.

Fabrication scheme for dense aquatic flow sensor arrays [PDF]
A fabrication scheme to realize dense arrays of flexible, closed membranes with a small gap separating them from the substrate is presented. These membranes are the first step towards aquatic hair based flow sensors biomimicking fish lateral line ...

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...

Highlights We present the first-ever fabrication of the anode-free all-solid-state battery (AFASSB) structure using a MoS2 sacrificial layer. The addition of an MoS2 sacrificial layer to AFASSBs could decrease the nucleation overpotential of Li and ...

Fabrication of nano-gap electrode arrays by the construction and selective chemical etching of nano-crosswire stacks [PDF]
Methods of fabricating nano-gap electrode structures in array configurations, and the structures so produced. The fabrication method involves depositing first and second pluralities of electrodes comprising nanowires using processes such as lithography ...

Phase-Changing Sacrificial Layer Fabrication of Multilayer Polymer Microfluidic Devices [PDF]
We present a new approach for fabricating multilayer microfluidic devices in poly(methyl methacrylate). Paraffin wax was used as a phase-changing sacrificial layer to protect microstructures during solvent bonding. Microchannels in the top and bottom pieces were aligned with through-holes in the middle layer, resulting in microchannels that cross one ...

The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...
