Application of a damage constitutive model to pile–slope stability analysis
Piles were regarded as elastic materials in the traditional numerical simulation. The elastic pile would not reflect the damage of the pile in engineering, which would misjudge the reinforcement effect of piles on slopes.

Evaluation of Accelerator Pedal Strength under Critical Loads Using the Finite Element Method
The core idea of the research consists in a formulation of boundary conditions of a mechanical accelerator pedal’s strength in an Ansys environment, whose conditions are equivalent to full-scale tests under the critical loads defined by the UNECE’s ...

ABSTRACT Background While Wilms tumor (WT) typically has a favorable prognosis, relapsed cases—especially those with high‐risk histology—remain therapeutically challenging after intensive frontline therapy. The combination of vincristine and irinotecan has demonstrated activity in pediatric solid tumors, and pazopanib, a multi‐targeted tyrosine kinase ...

Briefing: Using ‘safety climate factors’ to improve construction safety [PDF]
This briefing discusses the health and safety problems in the construction industry. The focus is on safety performance improvement by using ‘safety climate factors’. Construction organisations can assess their safety climate factors by using a safety climate questionnaire and can develop plans for improved safety performance.

A study of stability analysis of pyroclastic covers based on electrical resistivity measurements
Usually, the degree of stability of a slope is quantified by the Factor of Safety whose values depend on physical and mechanical soil properties analyzed on samples of much reduced sizes or referring to very small soil volumes around porous probes.

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.
