Cytological studies in Salmo trutta and Salmo alpinus [PDF]

Ten populations of Salmo trutta and six populations of Salmo alpinus have been studied cytologically. Both species have the chromosome number 2n = 80. In Salmo trutta the number of metacentric chromosomes varies between 15 and 24 with an average mean of 20, which gives a nombre fondamental (N. F.) of 100.
