Maternal and Neonatal Infection With Salmonella heidelberg : A Case Report [PDF]
Maternal and neonatal infections with Salmonella typhi have been well documented. There are only two previous case reports of intrauterine infection with non‐typhoidal species. This paper presents a third case of maternal septicemia followed by neonatal sepsis with Salmonella heidelberg.

Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis (SE) can colonise chicken ovaries and contaminate eggs, posing a global risk of human gastroenteritis, often linked to raw or undercooked eggs. Control options for SE outbreaks in Australia are limited; autogenous SE vaccines are commonly used, while live attenuated Salmonella Typhimurium (ST) vaccines are ...

Discovery of H2 Receptor Antagonists as Colistin Enhancers by Targeting Acid Stress Response
This study identifies YqgB as a key target for restoring colistin susceptibility in mcr‐positive pathogens under acidic conditions by remodeling phospholipid composition and reducing LPS modification. Deep learning‐based screening reveals H2 receptor antagonists as novel colistin adjuvants. Further investigations indicate that ranitidine and famotidine

How Salmonella Works Under Osmotic and Desiccation Stresses
ABSTRACT Salmonella remains one of the leading threats in foods with reduced water activity, where it can survive for long periods and cause outbreaks. Its persistence stems from a wide array of adaptive strategies shaped by the selective pressures imposed by low‐moisture foods.

DNA sequence analysis of plasmids from multidrug resistant Salmonella enterica serotype Heidelberg isolates. [PDF]
Salmonella enterica serovar Heidelberg is among the most detected serovars in swine and poultry, ranks among the top five serotypes associated with human salmonellosis and is disproportionately associated with invasive infections and mortality in humans.

AI‐Enabled Imaging for Pathogen Detection Under Stress Conditions: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Advances in pathogen detection that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) may capture microbial signals under challenging environmental conditions that traditional methods miss. This systematic review evaluates the application, performance, and methodological characteristics of AI‐enabled imaging for pathogen detection, including its impact
