Adapted Live SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccine Elicits Rapid Mucosal Immunity, Protects From Disease, and Reduces Shedding of XBB.1.5

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 56, Issue 5, May 2026.
An attenuated live vaccine (OTS‐300) expressing the XBB.1.5 Spike provided rapid and complete protection against homologous challenge in the hamster model, accompanied by fast systemic and mucosal antibody responses and markedly reduced transmission compared with XBB.1.5 mRNA vaccination.

Performative betrayals: Christian gender politics or Christianity on trial in Oscar Wilde's Salomé [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Oscar Wilde’s symbolist drama Salomé (1892) was written directly in French, a language the playwright “adore[d] without speaking it well” (Ellmann).

A Study of Energy Band Gap Temperature Relationships for Cu2ZnSnS4 Thin Films

open access: yes, 2011
The temperature dependent band gap energy of Cu2ZnSnS4 thin film was studied in the temperature range of 77 to 410 K. Various relevant parameters which explain the temperature variation of the fundamental band gap have been calculated using empirical and

Cold-induced male meiotic restitution in Arabidopsis thaliana is not mediated by GA-DELLA signaling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Short periods of cold stress induce male meiotic restitution and diploid pollen formation in Arabidopsis thaliana by specifically interfering with male meiotic cytokinesis.

A preclinical setup for spatially fractionated radiation therapy with electrons

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Background Spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT) has therapeutic potential as a priming therapy which boosts tumor control. However, the optimal delivery and spatial fractionation parameters have not been deciphered and the mechanisms at play are not yet fully understood.

Effective transmission conditions for Hamilton-Jacobi equations defined on two domains separated by an oscillatory interface

open access: yes, 2015
We consider a family of optimal control problems in the plane with dynamics and running costs possibly discontinuous across an oscillatory interface $\Gamma_\epsilon$.

Platelet‐Activating Factor Pathway in Women With Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease and Obesity

open access: yesObesity, Volume 34, Issue 5, Page 1056-1067, May 2026.
Increased hepatic PAFR expression in MASLD is associated with histological disease severity and may contribute to progression through platelet activation, whereas circulating Lp‐PLA2 levels lack discriminatory value as a noninvasive biomarker. ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to investigate the platelet‐activating factor (PAF) pathway in obesity ...

Hamilton-Jacobi equations for optimal control on multidimensional junctions

open access: yes, 2014
We consider continuous-state and continuous-time control problems where the admissible trajectories of the system are constrained to remain on a union of half-planes which share a common straight line. This set will be named a junction.

Schweig und tanze! : Elektra, by Hugo von Hofmannsthal and Richard Strauss [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The last scene of Richard Strauss’ Elektra builds tension towards Elektra’s dance of victory and joy, leading to her ecstatic abdication in death. Indeed, the opera’s librettist Hugo von Hofmannsthal describes this scene in one of his sketches as Elektra’
