Non‐sea‐salt‐sulphate formation in sea‐salt aerosol [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 1998
By comparing the observed non‐sea‐salt‐sulphate:sodium (nss‐SO42−:Na+) ratios with model calculations the main sources of nss‐SO42− observed in sea‐salt aerosol could be determined. As heterogeneous production appears to be responsible for at most half of the measured nss‐SO42− [Clegg and Toumi, 1997; Chameides and Stelson, 1992] other mechanisms have ...

Crystal structures of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octan-1-ium 4-nitrobenzoate dihydrate and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane-1,4-diium bis(4-nitrobenzoate): the influence of solvent upon the stoichiometry of the formed salt

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
The 1:1 co-crystallization of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) with 4-nitrobenzoic acid in ethanol–water (3/1) gave the salt dihydrate C6H13N2+·C7H4NO4−·2H2O, (1), whereas from methanol, the salt C6H14N22+·2C7H4NO4−, (2), was isolated.

Effect of salt tectonics on theKourdeh Anticline on the thickness varriations, facies, depositional environment and diagenesis of the Sarvak Formation (Fars, Zagros) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stratigraphy and Sedimentology Researches, 2017
In order to understand the impact of salt plug on facies, depositional environment and diagenesis of the Sarvak Formation in the Kourdeh Anticline, three sections close to the salt plug measured and studied.

Simulation and optimization of drying and salt formation process for radioactive high-salt waste liquid of medical isotope test reactor [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
Medical isotope test reactor is the first reactor in the world. In order to implement the principle of minimizing radioactive waste, the radioactive waste liquid adopts advanced drying and salt formation technology.

Three-dimensional discrete element numerical simulation of Paleogene salt structures in the western Kuqa foreland thrust belt

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2020
Taking the Paleogene salt strata in the west of Kuqa foreland thrust belt as study object, the deformation features of salt structure in the compression direction and perpendicular to the compression direction were examined to find out the control ...

Salt Constructs in Paleo-Lake Basins as High-Priority Astrobiology Targets

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
In extreme environments, microbial organisms reside in pockets with locally habitable conditions. Micro-climates conducive to the persistence of life in an otherwise inhospitable environment—“refugia”—are spatially restricted and can be micro- to ...

Salt crystallisation at the surface of a heterogeneous porous medium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Evaporation of saline solutions from a porous medium often leads to the precipitation of salt at the surface of the porous medium. It is commonly observed that the crystallized salt does not form everywhere at the porous medium surface but only at some ...

Observation of playa salts as nuclei in orographic wave clouds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
During the Ice in Clouds Experiment-Layer Clouds (ICE-L), dry lakebed, or playa, salts from the Great Basin region of the United States were observed as cloud nuclei in orographic wave clouds over Wyoming.

Preparation and Characterization of Amino Acids-Based Trimethoprim Salts

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2012
Trimethoprim (TMP) is a dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) inhibitor which prevents the conversion of dihydrofolic acid into tetrahydrofolic acid, resulting in the depletion of the latter and leading to bacterial death.

Hydrocarbon accumulation conditions and exploration targets of the Sinian Dengying Formation in the Southeastern Sichuan Basin

open access: yesEnergy Geoscience, 2023
No breakthrough has been made in petroleum exploration of the Sinian Dengying Formation in the southeastern Sichuan Basin as the major factors controlling the hydrocarbon accumulation of the Dengying Formation have not been well established, including ...
