Physiological and Photosynthetic Characteristics with Ecological Restoration Application of Nerium indicum Under Salt Stress

open access: yesHaiyang Kaifa yu guanli, 2023
Marine salinity affects mainly the roots, stems and leaves of coastal plants through groundwater intrusion, splashing and salt spray. Two-year-old Nerium indicum L. seedlings with good growth were used to carry out the salt tolerance experiments in their

Three-dimensional multi-physics simulation and sensitivity analysis of cyclic hydrogen storage in salt caverns [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Large-scale storage technologies are crucial to balance consumption and intermittent production of renewable energy systems. One of these technologies can be developed by converting the excess energy into compressed air or hydrogen, i.e., compressed gas, and store it in underground solution-mined salt caverns.

Engineered Peptides‐Based Hybrid‐Nested Microneedle Effectively Treat Biofilm‐Infected Diabetic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid‐nested microneedle/cryogel scaffold (MQW‐CMg‐MOF) is designed for efficient biofilm removal and accelerated healing of diabetic wounds. The scaffold shows substantial biofilm removal in vitro and in a preclinical diabetic swine biofilm‐infected wound model compared to the control.

Improving the Capacity Retention of Poly(vinylphenothiazine) as Battery Electrode Material by Pore Size Engineering of Porous N‐Doped Carbon Nanospheres as Conductive Additive

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By using (meso)porous N‐doped carbon nanospheres with tailored intraparticle porosity and constant particle size as conductive carbon in PVMPT‐based organic battery electrodes, the complete volume of the carbon is accessible for the immobilization of PVMPT, resulting in high accessible specific capacities while maintaining a good rate capability and ...

Chemical milling solution reveals stress corrosion cracks in titanium alloy [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
Solution of hydrogen flouride, hydrogen peroxide, and water reveals hot salt stress corrosion cracks in various titanium alloys. After the surface is rinsed in water, dried, and swabbed with the solution, it can be observed by the naked eye or at low ...

Stratum Corneum‐Inspired Zwitterionic Hydrogels with Intrinsic Water Retention and Anti‐Freezing Properties for Intelligent Flexible Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel stratum corneum‐inspired zwitterionic hydrogel is developed for intelligent, flexible sensors, featuring intrinsic water retention and anti‐freezing properties. The quasi‐gel, composed of hygroscopic polymers and bound water, maintains its softness across a wide range of humidity.

Efecto del estrés producido por la mezcla de sales en la concentración de aldehído malónico, proteínas y enzimas antioxidantes de Leymus chinensis de tres colores foliares diferentes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The mixed salt stress is common in nature. Salt stressalways affects plant growth. Different plant species have different adaptive capacity to salty soil. Leymus chinensis is an herbaceous plant with different leaf colors.
