The asymmetric total synthesis of (+)-salvianolic acid A
Tetrahedron, 2016Abstract An asymmetric synthesis of (+)-salvianolic acid A with cardioprotective properties, has been accomplished in a convergent manner in eight steps and 10.6% overall yield. This synthesis features an asymmetric addition of organometallics to optically pure 2,3-epoxypropionate in the presence of BF3·Et2O, Ru(III)-catalyzed directed C H ...

Salvianolic Acid I: A New Depside fromSalvia cavaleriei
Planta Medica, 1994A new depside named salvianolic acid I was isolated from the aqueous extract of SALVIA CAVALERIEI, along with salvianolic acids A, B, C, H, isosalvianolic acid C, lithospermic acid, and rosmarinic acid. The chemical struktures were determined by spectral analysis.

Protective effects of salvianolic acid A on clozapine‐induced cardiotoxicity in zebrafish
Journal of Applied Toxicology, 2022AbstractThe clinical use of clozapine (CLZ), an atypical antipsychotic drug, was affected by side effects, such as cardiotoxicity. We selected normally developing zebrafish embryos to explore the antagonism of salvianolic acid A (SAA) against clozapine‐induced cardiotoxicity. Embryos were treated with CLZ and SAA, and zebrafish phenotypes were observed

Research progress of salvianolic acid A
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2011Salvianolic acid A is a water-soluble component from Danshen, which is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine. High performance liquid chromatography was often used to analyze content of salvianolic acid A. The yield of salvianolic acid A increased by the technological improvement of extraction and separation.

Salvianolic Acid A, a New Depside from Roots ofSalvia miltiorrhiza
Planta Medica, 1984A new depside of D-(+)-beta-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-lactic acid and 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenylethenyl)-caffeic acid, named salvianolic acid A, was isolated from the dried roots of SALVIA MILTIORRHIZA Bunge. Its chemical structure was defined by spectral analysis and chemical degradation.

Salvianolic acid A inhibits tumor-associated angiogenesis by blocking GRP78 secretion
Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 2018Glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) often highly expresses in a wide range of tumors, which plays promotive functions due to its diversity of location in the development of tumor. Particularly, GRP78 can be secreted into microenvironment by tumor cells through the pathway of exosome, which promotes proliferation, angiogenesis, and drug resistance in ...
