A combined method for DNA analysis and radiocarbon dating from a single sample
Current protocols for ancient DNA and radiocarbon analysis of ancient bones and teeth call for multiple destructive samplings of a given specimen, thereby increasing the extent of undesirable damage to precious archaeological material.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Reducing the Aspect Ratio of Contact Holes by In-Situ Low-Angle Cross Sectioning
Auger analysis of high-aspect ratio contact holes of integrated microelectronic devices is a challenging analytical task. Due to geometrical shadowing the primary electron beam and the energy analyser have not the required direct line of sight to the ...

Target Material Selection for Sputter Coating of SEM Samples
Abstract This article describes target material options for sputter coaters that deposit a thin metal coating on non-conductive SEM samples. Coating a sample with a conductive metal renders an insulating sample conductive enough to minimize charging ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Metal–organic frame (MOF) materials may have the advantages of a regular pore structure, large porosity, and large specific surface area, which could provide better catalytic activity, but they have some disadvantages in electrocatalysis.
