On a Scheme of Sampling of Two Units With Inclusion With Inclusion
This paper introduces an unequal probability sampling without replacement scheme with inclusion probability proportional to size. This new scheme possesses some desirable properties with regard to ?i and ?ij , and provides a non-negative variance ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Asymptotic consistency under large entropy sampling designs with unequal probabilities
A large part of survey sampling literature is devoted to unequal probabilities sampling designs without replacement. Brewer and Hanif (1983) provided a summary of these sampling designs. The maximum entropy designs is one of them.

Comparison of Four Estimators under sampling without Replacement
In some applications, it is cost efficient to sample data in more than one stage. In the first stage, a simple random sample is drawn and then stratified accordingly to some easily measured attributes.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Exact methods for comparison of estimation strategies in survey sampling.
PhDMany strategies in survey sampling depend on large sample approximation formulae for design-based inference on finite population parameters, which are not valid for small samples. We develop an approach using matrix algebra to tackle many problems

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Significance improvement by randomized test in random sampling without replacement
This paper studies one-sided hypothesis testing under random sampling without replacement. That is, when $n+1$ binary random variables $X_1,\ldots, X_{n+1}$ are subject to a permutation invariant distribution and $n$ binary random variables $X_1,\ldots ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
