Influence of Non-Integer Harmonics and Interference on SAPF [PDF]

open access: yesTELKOMNIKA Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2014
Inter-harmonics and non-periodic disturbance generated by aging SAPF or other reasons would impact SAPF performance. In this paper, three-level SAPF was used as example: the mathematical model of three-level SAPF under the definition of virtual flux was built. The power theory under the definition of CPT was discussed.

SAPF for Power Quality Improvement Based on PSODE Optimization Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology, 2020
PQ phenomenon has gain an overwhelming attention in recent years for extensive use of complicated industrial processes. In the modern world, the usage of intelligent algorithms to enhance power quality is increasing gradually as the present day utility system as a linear model is unsatisfactory and ineffective.

Adaptive Frequency-Based Reference Compensation Current Control Strategy of Shunt Active Power Filter for Unbalanced Nonlinear Loads [PDF]

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
The shunt active power filter (SAPF) is an effective means for the modification of power quality. However, the compensation performance of SAPF would be deteriorated when the unbalanced nonlinear loads are present in the power system.

Design and modeling of SMES based SAPF for pulsed power load demands

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, 2017
Abstract In this article, a Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) based Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) topology is proposed to compensate high power pulsating load demands in a power system. The SMES based SAPF is designed and modeled to realize as an efficient compensator for the compensation of pulsed power load demands. The conventional

Selective harmonic suppression strategy by SAPF in power distribution system

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2017
This study proposes a flexible selective harmonic compensation and resonance damping algorithm for shunt active power filter (SAPF) applied in three‐phase three‐wire power distribution system. The selective harmonic compensation current reference extraction is based on recursive discrete Fourier transform.
