BMJ Case Reports, 2018 An 87-year-old man with history of dementia, coronary artery disease on dual antiplatelet therapy and oesophagitis presented to the emergency department with acute-onset coffee ground emesis and left upper quadrant abdominal pain of 1-day duration. Vital signs were normal. Exam was notable for diffuse abdominal pain without peritoneal signs.

Journal of General Microbiology, 1969 SUMMARY: The carotenoid-glycoprotein isolated from the membranes of Sarcina flava by using synthetic detergents was not resolved into subfractions. It was resistant to extremes of heat and pH value. The peptide moiety carried little net charge and the carotenoid was not easily released.
