Biological and environmental drivers of early life fawn survival in a declining pronghorn population

Pronghorn Antilocapra americana occupy only a portion of their historical range and in Oklahoma occur at the eastern edge of the species' contemporary distribution. Monitoring has suggested pronghorn populations in Oklahoma have declined in recent years.

Nesting ecology of an ice‐associated seabird, Kittlitz's murrelet, at the northern edge of its range

We studied the Kittlitz's murrelet, an ice‐associated seabird of conservation concern, at the northern edge of its range. Over a 2‐year period, we estimated nest density and success at 2 sites, captured and telemetered nesting murrelets, and tested the use of a thermal camera to improve nest detection.

Drone‐based radiotelemetry and imagery systems provide an advantage over traditional techniques for estimating survival of dependent juveniles

We used drone‐based radiotelemetry and multispectral imagery to estimate detection and survival probabilities of blue‐winged teal broods in Saskatchewan, Canada. Weekly brood survival probabilities, estimated via Cormack‐Jolly‐Seber models, increased with age and were comparable between drone methods.
