Two pea protein hydrolysates (PPHs) reduced hunger by targeting different mechanisms: PPH1 produced a faster response in satiety and hunger hormone levels in the blood, while PPH2 had a stronger impact on gastric emptying. These effects are likely due to the differing degrees of hydrolysis between the two PPHs.

ABSTRACT Metaproteomics is a valuable approach to characterize the biological functions involved in the gut microbiota (GM) response to dietary interventions. Ketogenic diets (KDs) are very effective in controlling seizure severity and frequency in drug‐resistant epilepsy (DRE) and in the weight loss management in obese/overweight individuals.

Crystal Structure and Functional Characterization of YjgK From Salmonella Typhimurium
ABSTRACT The YhcH/YjgK/YiaL (DUF386) family, widely conserved across bacterial species, is involved in essential cellular processes yet remains poorly characterized. YjgK from Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium has drawn attention because of its potential role in biofilm formation associated with metal homeostasis, which may be critical for ...

A high‐throughput and sensitive method for food preference assays in the argentine ant
A high‐throughput and sensitive method for food preference assays in the Argentine ant. The dual feeder detects dispreference for food with low levels of an aversive compound (quinine) and preference for foods with higher levels of phagostimulants (sucrose).
