Inference based on taguchi's saturated designs

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 1991
The present paper studies the validity of inferential procedures which follow the Taguchi method, under saturated designs. The distribution of the signal to noise (S/N) ratio Y [ILM0001] is investigated, for normal parent distributions. We further investigate the distribution of orthonormal contrasts of such S/N variables.

On adaptive estimation in orthogonal saturated designs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Summary: A simple method is provided to construct a general class of individual and simultaneous confidence intervals for the effects in orthogonal saturated designs. These intervals use the data adaptively, maintain the confidence levels sharply at \(1- \alpha\) at the least favorable parameter configuration, work effectively under effect sparsity ...

Design of Compensators for Actuator Saturation

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 1995
Actuator saturation is a common non-linear control problem; if it is not being compensated properly, the system can become unstable. When the actuator saturates, the control that cannot be implemented can be interpreted as a non-linear disturbance being injected into the closed-loop system.
