Checking of the CETIAT humiditytransfer standard with saturated salt solutions
Industrial Metrology, 1991Abstract The humidity laboratory of CETIAT, which is a pilot of the BNM hygrometry organization in France, uses for its calibrations a humidity transfer standard that has been designed and built at CETIAT and calibrated at the National Bureau of Standards.

An experimental verification of saturated salt solution-based humidity fixed points
International Journal of Thermophysics, 1996The high instability and hysterisis of the relative humidity sensors currently available on the market render necessary simple and economic calibration methodologies that can be used as a secondary of working standards. The chemical equilibrium-type systems based on saturated aqueous salt solutions, even though simple and economical, are not always ...

Effects of dielectric saturation on planar electric double layers in salt solutions
Biophysical Chemistry, 1980The effects of dielectric saturation on planar electric double layers in salt solutions are examined by solving the Poisson-Boltzmann equation analytically where the dielectric constant is given as a function of the electric displacement. The activity and the distribution of small ions, the surface potential and the Donnan potential are calculated. The

Surface Properties of Sodium Octyl Sulphate in Saturated Salt Solutions
Nature, 1957As part of a study of the flotation of soluble salts the surface tension of sodium octyl sulphate has been measured1 in saturated solutions of lithium, sodium, potassium and ammonium chlorides at 20° C. No previous measurements are recorded for the surface tension of sodium octyl sulphate in saturated salt solutions or in water.

Vapor Pressures of Saturated Aqueous Salt Solutions of Selected Inorganic Salts
1965The vapor pressure of saturated aqueous salt solutions as functions of temperature have been measured for lithium bromide, lithium iodide, sodium bromide, potassium hydroxide, cesium fluoride, and zinc bromide. The temperature range is about plus s 0 c. to 70°c., with this range extended from minus 10°c. to plus 105°c.

AbstractThe vapour pressure of the four phase equilibrium water vapour‐saturated solution‐solid Pb(NO3)2‐solid NaNO3 has been measured over the range of temperature 10°‐150° C.It was found with this system, as also with systems of solutions, saturated with respect to one or more salts, previously determined that the relative vapour pressure as a ...
