An Organic Molecular Nanobarrel that Hosts and Solubilizes C60. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl, 2023
A new trigonal prismatic organic nanobarrel with two large triangular windows and a diameter of 12.7 Å has been synthesized that is optimal for the encapsulation of C60. Remarkably, this organic nanobarrel shows a high affinity for C60 in solvents in which C60 is virtually insoluble, and results in stable solutions of C60.

Diffusion‐Induced Thickness Thinning of Spin‐Coated Films in Crystalline Grain Boundaries: A Process of Amorphization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 10, Issue 11, April 14, 2023., 2023
Diffusion‐induced ingress of a peptide‐based bioreceptor into a pentacene‐based semiconducting channel has been studied. As the molecules diffuse into the grain boundaries, they systematically start impairing the thin‐film crystalline phase to bulk depending on the amount of mass transport, ushering to a complete amorphization at higher doses of ...
