Scalar field as a null dust

We show that a canonical, minimally coupled scalar field which is non-self interacting and massless is equivalent to a null dust fluid (whether it is a test or a gravitating field), in a spacetime region in which its gradient is null.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
