Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Understanding the clinical profile of Continuous Traumatic Stress Responses: insights from the adaptation of the Continuous Traumatic Stress Response Scale (CTSR) in Ukrainian military personnel

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Psychotraumatology
Background: Despite ongoing debate on the necessity of using the Continuous Traumatic Stress Response (CTSR) concept in contexts of repetitive threat – where the traditional post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) paradigm is insufficient [Goral, A., Feder-

Studying adaptation at the invisible scale

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences
In order to understand adaptation by natural selection, it is necessary to observe organisms in their natural habitat. For this reason, the field of behavioral ecology, which specializes in testing adaptive explanations for biological observations, is dominated by research on larger multicellular animals such as insects, mammals ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Improved Kernel Correlation Filtering Algorithm Integrating Scale Adaptation and Occlusion Redetection

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To address the limitations of the Kernelized Correlation Filter (KCF) in handling scale variation and occlusion during visual tracking, this paper proposes a scale-adaptive and occlusion-robust KCF-based tracking method.
