Analysis of visual scanning patterns of pistol shooters
Journal of Sports Sciences, 1985Visual behaviour of pistol shooters of various levels of experience was studied using a video-oculometric technique to record the direction of gaze. A spatio-temporal analysis of the fixation patterns of subjects (five international pistol shooters and five international pentathletes) found that patterns were related to the level of skill.

The Crescent Pattern of Increased Radioactivity in Brain Scanning
Radiology, 1966Several reports have appeared recently concerning the application of brain scans in the evaluation of non-neoplastic cranial or intracranial disease (1–4). One of the patterns of abnormal radionuclide distribution considered specific for subdural hematoma was a crescent-shaped area of increased activity seen along the outer margin of the scan in either

The Spectrum of Positive Scan Patterns in Parathyroid Scintigraphy
Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 2007Parathyroid scintigraphy provides the clinician treating primary hyperparathyroidism with valuable information regarding the presence and location of parathyroid adenomas. In dual-phase imaging of the parathyroid glands, a widely employed technique that exploits the radiotracer washout characteristics of parathyroid adenomas, images are typically ...

Random limited-scan to improve random pattern testing of scan circuits
Proceedings of the 38th Design Automation Conference (IEEE Cat. No.01CH37232), 2001We propose a method of random pattern generation for at-speed testing of circuits with scan. The proposed method uses limited scan operations to achieve complete fault coverage. Under a limited scan operation, the circuit state is shifted by a number of positions which may be smaller than the number of state variables.

Pattern Theory and Body Scanning
2019Pattern cutting has long been considered a craft, where a maker uses their skills to create a block that reflects a garment’s shape. Usually, modern cutters are guided by one approach, which through use they modify to create patterns that suit their requirements.

Scanning Behaviour and Pattern Recognition
2013Two basic models of human pattern recognition have been advanced: feature analysis and hypothesis testing. These can only be discriminated by looking at behaviour before recognition. This is studied here by having the subject scan with a pen that writes only where the (invisible) picture is black.
