Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy in MgB 2

open access: yes, 2002
We present extensive Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy (STM/S) measurements at low temperatures in the multiband superconductor MgB$_2$. We find a similar behavior in single crystalline samples and in single grains, which clearly shows the partial ...

Autonomous Tissue Scanning under Free-Form Motion for Intraoperative Tissue Characterisation

open access: yes, 2020
In Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), tissue scanning with imaging probes is required for subsurface visualisation to characterise the state of the tissue. However, scanning of large tissue surfaces in the presence of deformation is a challenging task for

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Geometric Accuracy Investigations of Mobile Phone Devices in the Laboratory Using High-Precision Reference Bodies [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
The sensors in modern mobile phones (running either the Android or iOS operating system) have become increasingly sophisticated, to the extent that they can be used as measuring systems for a wide range of applications.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

MICROSTRUCTURING OF SILICON SINGLE CRYSTALS BY FIBER LASER IN HIGH-SPEED SCANNING MODE [PDF]

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики, 2015
Subject of Study. The surface structure of the silicon wafers (substrate) with a thermally grown silicon dioxide on the surface (of SiO2/Si) is studied after irradiation by pulse fiber laser of ILI-1-20 type.

Lightfront Formalism versus Holography&Chiral Scanning

open access: yes, 2001
The limitations of the approach based on using fields restricted to the lightfront (Lightfront Quantization or p$\to \infty $ Frame Approach) which drive quantum fields towards canonical and ultimately free fields are well known.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.
