Increased uptake of α-hydroxy aldehyde-modified low density lipoprotein by macrophage scavenger receptors

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2000
Reactive aldehydes can be formed during the oxidation of lipids, glucose, and amino acids and during the nonenzymatic glycation of proteins. Low density lipoprotein (LDL) modified with malondialdehyde are taken up by scavenger receptors on macrophages ...

SENP3 Drives Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Development by Regulating Ferroptosis via De‐SUMOylation of CTH

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, it is proposed that SENP3 accumulates in macrophages of aneurysmal aortic tissues, which promotes macrophage ferroptosis and inflammation via regulation of CTH de‐SUMOylation. Abstract Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a high‐risk inflammatory disorder. SENP3, a SUMO2/3‐specific protease, is closely involved in the development of cancer.

Electroactive Electrospun Nanofibrous Scaffolds: Innovative Approaches for Improved Skin Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explores the potential of electroactive electrospun nanofibrous (EEN) scaffolds for enhanced skin wound healing. It discusses how a variety of electroactive materials can be prepared into EEN scaffolds via electrospinning technology, and their applications in various wound types. The review provides insights into the future perspectives for

A Dual‐Response DNA Origami Platform for Imaging and Treatment of Sepsis‐Associated Acute Kidney Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐response DNA origami platform is developed for the early diagnosis and therapeutic intervention of sepsis‐associated acute kidney injury. Abstract Current diagnostics for sepsis‐associated acute kidney injury (SA‐AKI) detect kidney damage only at advanced stages, limiting opportunities for timely intervention. A DNA origami‐based nanoplatform is
