Dielectric capacitors typically struggle to achieve both high energy storage density and high efficiency at applied voltages below 10 V. Here, we address this challenge by introducing a novel hybrid fluorite/perovskite heterostructure design that combines ultra‐high recoverable energy storage density with efficient energy release (Uf ≈ 1016 J/cm3), at ...

The sentinel approach to quantify ecosystem function intensities
Biodiversity, through species interactions, underpins numerous ecosystem functions that can lead to ecosystem services and disservices. Quantifying these functions is crucial for evaluating the effectiveness of conservation and management strategies, as ...

Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Scavenger Receptors and Atherosclerosis
Scavenger receptors were discovered as cell surface proteins capable of binding and internalization of modified lipoproteins. These receptors exhibit a broad ligand binding specificity including potential physiological and pathophysiological ligands other than modified lipoproteins.

This work presents ARC‐3D, a soft 3D model that recreates how brain support cells, called astrocytes, react to oxidative stress. The system visualizes rapid calcium changes and inflammatory signals, and shows how the drug KDS12025 can protect cells from damage. ARC‐3D offers a simple, reliable way to study early drivers of brain inflammation.

Oceanic whitetip sharks, Carcharhinus longimanus, are known to be common scavengers; however, observations of C. longimanus scavenging events are extremely rare due to their classification as an oceanic pelagic species, typically solitary in nature.
