An Adaptive Real-Time Scheduling Method for Flexible Job Shop Scheduling Problem With Combined Processing Constraint

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Flexible job shop scheduling problem with combined processing constraint is a common scheduling problem in assembly manufacturing industry. However, traditional methods for classic flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP) cannot be directly applied ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Algorithms for scheduling projects with generalized precedence relations. [PDF]

open access: yes
Project scheduling under the assumption of renewable resource constraints and generalized precedence relations, i.e. arbitrary minimal and maximal time lags between the starting and completion times of the activities of the project, constitutes an ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Resource-constrained multi-project scheduling: benchmark datasets and decoupled scheduling

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we propose a new dataset for the resource-constrained multi-project scheduling problem and evaluate the performance of multi-project extensions of the single-project schedule generation schemes.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

MARGINAL PRODUCTIVITY INDEX POLICIES FOR SCHEDULING A MULTICLASS DELAY-/LOSS-SENSITIVE QUEUE [PDF]

open access: yes
We address the problem of scheduling a multiclass M/M/1 queue with a finite dedicated buffer for each class. Some classes are delay-sensitive, modeling real-time traffic (e.g.
