Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Approximation Results for Preemptive Stochastic Online Scheduling

open access: yes
We present first constant performance guarantees for preemptive stochastic scheduling to minimize the sum of weighted completion times. For scheduling jobs with release dates on identical parallel machines we derive policies with a guaranteed performance

Genetic Fuzzy Scheduling - Development of Rule-based Scheduling Strategies for Parallel Machines

open access: yes, 2012
International audienceIn this book, we present novel methodologies for automatically generating online scheduling strategies with the help of real life workload data. The scheduling problem includes independent parallel jobs, multiple identical machines,

Dynamic job-shop scheduling using reinforcement learning agents

open access: yes, 2000
Static and dynamic scheduling methods have attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Among these, dynamic scheduling techniques handle scheduling problems where the scheduler does not possess detailed information about the jobs, which may arrive at ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

An optimal procedure for the unconstrained max-NPV project scheduling problem with generalized precedence relations. [PDF]

open access: yes
The unconstrained max-npv project scheduling problem involves the scheduling of the activities of a project in order to maximize its net present value. Assume a project represented in activity-on-mode (AoN) notation, in which the activities have a known ...

Minimizing Makespan Scheduling on a Single Machine with General Positional Deterioration Effects

open access: yesAxioms
This work studies single-machine scheduling with general position-dependent deterioration, where job processing times are general non-decreasing functions dependent on their positions in a sequence.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Computational experience with a branch-and-bound procedure for the resource-constrained project scheduling problem with generalized precedence relations. [PDF]

open access: yes
In a previous paper (De Reyck and Herroelen, 1996a), we presented an optimal procedure for the resource-constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP) with generalised precedence relations (further denoted as RCPSP-GPR) with the objective of minimizing ...
