Three chiral nitrobenzaldehyde/Schiff base ligands (2a-c) were prepared by the reaction of ortho, meta, and para-NO2 substituted benzaldehydes (1a-c) with (1R,2R)-(-)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane. The structures of ligands 2a-c were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and elemental analysis.

Abstract In this study, we prepared two Schiff base ligands N-(4-hydroxy phenyl)-2,4-di-methoxy benzaldimine (TS1) and N-(4-hydroxy phenyl)-2,5-di-methoxybenzaldimine (TS2) which were characterized by structural, spectroscopic and analytical methods. The ligands TS1 and TS2 were obtained as single crystals from ethanol solution.
