Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Evolution of the Concept and Scientific Mapping of Sustainable Human Resource Management S-(HRM)

open access: yesAdministrative Sciences
The objective of this study was to analyse the evolutionary field of sustainable human resource management (S-(HRM)) over four strategically chosen sub-periods in order to understand its behaviour in the period from 1991 to 2024. We started by conducting

Omnidirectional underwater surveying and telepresence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Exploratory dives are traditionally the first step for marine scientists to acquire information on a previously unknown area of scientific interest. Manned submersibles have been the platform of choice for such exploration, as they allow a high level ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Mapping scientific data

open access: yes, 2004
Mapping Knowledge Domains is a special supplement to the April 6 issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). Many of the articles raise OA issues, either by tracking OA collections or making use of OA literature as data to learn about scientific trends.
