Curcumin Nanoformulations for Dermatological Applications: From Nutraceuticals to Nanocarriers

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Nanotechnology‐based delivery platforms enhance the cutaneous administration of curcumin. Loading free curcumin into polymeric micelles, metal‐based nanoparticles, nanogels/hydrogels, liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, or nanoemulsions/nanocrystals helps address its low solubility, poor stability and limited skin permeation. As a result, these systems

A Potential Novel Molecular Interaction in Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome in Lung Transplantation Patients: The Role of SERPINA3 and Osteoprotegerin

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 8, 30 April 2026.
Serum SERPINA3 levels were higher in BOS compared to non‐BOS patients. OPG and SERPINA3 positive cells colocalized with tryptase positive mast cells in airways from BOS lung tissue. OPG and SERPINA3 staining positively correlated in partially and completely obstructed airways.

Progressive systemic sclerosis (diffuse scleroderma) and radiotherapy

open access: yesThe British Journal of Radiology, 1990
The rheumatological manifestations of cancer are many and varied. Progressive systemic sclerosis has been reported both as an initial manifestation of malignancy (Caldwell & McCallum, 1986) and, of course, as coexisting with malignant disease. Surprisingly, only one case report is to be found in the literature reporting on the interaction between ...

Bilateral breast cancer associated with diffuse scleroderma

open access: yesThe Breast, 2003
There is a strong evidence to suggest the association between breast cancer and diffuse scleroderma, though it is an infrequent occurrence. We describe the clinical and radiological findings in a patient who, over a period of 2 years, was diagnosed initially of diffuse scleroderma, next with right breast cancer and finally with left breast cancer.
