Aged Mitochondrial DNA Is Associated With Aberrant Acute Exercise‐Induced Redox Responses in Human Skeletal Muscle

This evo–devo exploration of ~550,000 histogenetic simulations forming dentine, enameloid, and enamel identifies 38 independent ways to induce the enameloid–enamel transition, with delayed matrix vesicle secretion (SVO‐) emerging as the key modification, providing new insights into the origin of enamel in early osteichthyans.
