Form the results of marking experiments, as well as from the records of catch according to the several body-weight classes, the survival rate of Sccmber juponicus (HOUTTUYN) was estimated to be 40 for the age of from 2 to 3 years, and 21 for the age of from 3 to 4 years.

Fishing Activity Affected Odontocete Cetacean Distribution in a Marine Protected Area in the East China Sea

Spatiotemporal distribution of odontocete cetaceans within China's Jiushan Archipelago National Nature Reserve was investigated. Fishing vessels significantly reduced both cetacean acoustic detections and feeding activity, whereas gillnets selectively suppressed cetacean feeding behavior without affecting overall cetacean detection rates.
