ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Pre-test probability for SARS-Cov-2-related infection score: The PARIS score.
IntroductionIn numerous countries, large population testing is impossible due to the limited availability of RT-PCR kits and CT-scans. This study aimed to determine a pre-test probability score for SARS-CoV-2 infection.MethodsThis multicenter ...

Testing the Reliability of Anchoring Susceptibility Scores
Whereas anchoring is a very robust and well-known effect that refers to the assimilation of numeric estimates toward previously considered numbers, the psychological mechanisms behind it have yet to be fully clarified. Research on theories on how susceptibility to anchoring is related to other personality parameters has not been able to provide ...

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

A Priori Reliability of Tests with Cut Score [PDF]
The theoretical probability of misclassification in a mastery test is exactly computed using the raw score probability distribution (in the Rasch model) as a function of the examinee’s latent ability. The resulting misclassification probability curve, together with the latent ability distribution in the group of examinees, completely determines the ...

Generalized score test of homogeneity for mixed effects models
Many important problems in psychology and biomedical studies require testing for overdispersion, correlation and heterogeneity in mixed effects and latent variable models, and score tests are particularly useful for this purpose. But the existing testing

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Testing Homogeneity of Proportion Ratios for Stratified Bilateral Correlated Data
Intraclass correlation in bilateral data has been investigated in recent decades with various statistical methods. In practice, stratifying bilateral data by some control variables will provide more sophisticated statistical results to satisfy different ...
