Organic Electrochemical Transistors Monolithically Integrated with Precise Micro‐Dispensing Enable High‐Performance Biosignals Amplification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 40, October 27, 2025.
This research showcases a micro‐dispensing strategy for integrating high‐performance organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) and amplifiers onto flexible substrates. The method achieves precise material deposition, enabling fully micro‐dispensed OECT amplifiers with a record 1 MHz gain‐bandwidth product.

A New Approach for Calculating Texture Coefficients of Different Rocks With Image Segmentation and Image Processing Techniques

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, Volume 88, Issue 10, Page 2612-2629, October 2025.
This study calculated the texture coefficient (TC) values of 20 different rock textures with magmatic, metamorphic, and sedimentary origins, which underwent image segmentation using a novel approach. ABSTRACT The texture coefficient (TC) is a critical parameter used to analyze the microstructural characteristics of rocks and predict their mechanical ...

Circulating Tumor Cells Shed Shearosome Extracellular Vesicles in Capillary Bifurcations That Activate Endothelial and Immune Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 31, August 21, 2025.
Using microfluidic models of capillary networks, this study discovered that fluid shear stresses on circulating tumor cells transiting through capillary‐sized bifurcations shed a novel class of shear‐dependent large extracellular vesicle, “shearosomes”, whose proteome comprises of over 3000 distinct proteins.

Tumor Microenvironment On‐A‐Chip and Single‐Cell Analysis Reveal Synergistic Stromal–Immune Crosstalk on Breast Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 16, April 24, 2025.
Using a 3D tumor microenvironment (TME)‐on‐a‐chip model, tumor–stromal–immune crosstalk in triple‐negative breast cancer is studied, revealing the TME's combinatorial effect on cancer progression. Integrating single‐cell transcriptomic analysis demonstrates metabolic reprogramming via the kynurenine pathway, highlighting the complex TME cellular ...

Mechanochemical‐Induced Swelling–Activation of a Gastric‐Deployable 4D‐Printed Polypill Inspired by Natural Hygromorphic Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2025.
Lifelong medication in patients with chronic diseases compromises treatment adherence, therapeutic outcomes, and quality of life. The bioinspired 4D‐printed polypill self‐deploys upon ingestion, constricting passage through the pylorus while at the same time providing sustained drug release, serving as drug delivery platform with applications in both ...

Segmented, Side‐Emitting Hydrogel Optical Fibers for Multimaterial Extrusion Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 4, January 29, 2025.
Soft side‐emitting optical fibers are fabricated by multimaterial extrusion printing of hydrogel inks with contrasting optical properties. Scattering segments are distributed along waveguiding fibers and allow tailored side emission of light. The side‐emitting fibers can activate photophysical processes in a surrounding gel, showing potential for ...

Selective Segregation of Thermo‐Responsive Microgels via Microfluidic Technology

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 8, Issue 12, December 19, 2024.
A simple separation method for thermo‐responsive equally sized particles only by slight differences in their surface morphology (e.g. material, particle charge) is reported. It relies on combining the drift by pressure‐driven shear flow and thermo‐induced size difference between two different particle types.
