Numerical Prediction of Refrigerant Oil Two-Phase Flow from Scroll Compressor Discharge to the Suction Side via Back Pressure Chamber

open access: yesProcesses, 2023
Oil lubricates the contact between the orbiting and stationary scroll in the refrigerant scroll compressor, while the sealing between the scrolls is achieved through the refrigerant vapour pressure in the sealed back pressure chamber.

Some design problems of scroll compressor.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 1986
The design problems of scroll compressors are discussed in this paper. The critical machine element in a scroll compressor is the thrust bearing when the compressor is employed for air conditioning and refrigeration, over a long period of operation. Not only the thrust, but also the moment acts on the thrust bearing.

A Fixed‐Charge Interphase Synchronizes Ion Transport to Suppress Space‐Charge‐Driven Inefficiency Under Nanoliter Confinement

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Electrochemical energy storage breaks down under extreme miniaturization, where interfaces and space‐charge dominate device behavior. This work introduces a fixed‐charge selective interphase (FCSI) integrated into a twin‐tube micro‐Swiss‐roll architecture.

Self‐Reported Versus Objectively Logged Social Media Use: Implications for Measurement in Eating Disorder Research

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐reported frequency measures of social media use (e.g., “How often do you use social media?”) are convenient, yet their criterion validity against objective behavioral data remains largely untested in eating disorder research. We compared self‐reports of TikTok use with objective data extracted from TikTok datafiles.

More Than Saying “It's AI”: How Role Disclosure Transparency in AI‐Generated Ads Influences Persuasion

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This research examines how AI role disclosure transparency—the consumers' subjective perception of how clearly and informatively an advertisement communicates the role that AI played in the ad creation process—influences consumer evaluation of AI‐generated ads via ad creation process credibility. A high level of perceived transparency enhances

Imaging Methods for Analyzing Adhesion in Extrusion Coating

open access: yesSurface and Interface Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extrusion coating is a common method to produce materials for the packaging industry. One of the most important properties in extrusion‐coated structures is adhesion between the substrate and the coating. Analyzing adhesion of samples produced by extrusion coating in a standardized way can be challenging, and especially, quantitative data are ...
