Optimum operating pressure ratios for scroll compressors.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 1989
A scroll compressor has a built-in volume ratio, and ideally it should be operated under a built-in pressure ratio condition that is a function of the built-in volume ratio. but in actual operation, the compressor shows its maximum efficiency at a pressure ratio that differs from the built-in pressure ratio.

From barriers to benefits: A personalized sleep intervention enhances sleep duration and emotional health in chronic short sleepers

open access: yesBritish Journal of Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract This pilot study evaluated a personalized sleep intervention incorporating motivational interviewing techniques to address sleep barriers, along with tailored sleep hygiene and extension for chronic short sleepers. Eleven university students completed a 14‐day sequential intervention (baseline, sleep hygiene and a combined phase adding 90‐min ...

Durability of domestic scroll compressor systems [PDF]

open access: yesWIT Transactions on Engineering Sciences, 2009
A thorough surface examination of the main components of a scroll compressor after part uses was conducted. This was performed in order to identify the possible tribo-mechanical effects (abrasion, cavitation, erosion etc) which occur on the substrate of these components. Three dimensional interferometer surface scanning and scanning electron microscopy

Patents and Supra‐Competitive Prices: Evidence From Consumer Products

open access: yesJournal of Empirical Legal Studies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A patent system is a central tool in innovation policy. The prospect of monopolistic pricing supposedly encourages firms to innovate. However, there is scant empirical evidence supporting the existence of higher markups for patent‐protected products.

From the Unconscious to the Algorithm: Platform Mediation, Psychic Economy, and Psychoanalytic Practice

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Psychoanalytic Studies, Volume 23, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This article offers a theoretical analysis, grounded in a critical narrative review within the Freudian‐Lacanian tradition, of how platform algorithms shape contemporary forms of subjectivity and raise new questions for psychoanalytic practice.
