Assessing the impacts of land use–land cover changes on direct surface runoff: a remote sensing approach in Khulna City

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 2022
The increased risks of storm flood occurrences in large cities are the result of land use changes due to rapid urbanization. This study examines the influence of land use changes in Khulna City Corporation (KCC) area on surface runoff over a period of 15

Electrolyte‐Induced Cu+ Preservation Results in a Selectivity Switch of Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction at a Copper‐Organic Framework as Electrocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The active role of KCl as a neutral electrolyte enables switching the selectivity on a Cu organic framework from C1 to C2+ products during electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. ABSTRACT We introduce a copper‐nicotinate (Cu‐NA) framework as a halogenide‐stabilized Cu+/Cu0 pre‐catalyst for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction with high C2+ selectivity in a “neutral”

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

A Cu‐Based Near‐IR Active MOF with an Ion‐Pair Guest Exhibiting Versatile and Selective Gas‐Solid Reactivity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

From Behavior to Dynamics: Decoding Carrier Roles in Cu‐based Photocathodes for Solar‐Driven CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The performance of Cu‐based photocathodes in photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction is not governed by catalytic sites alone, but by the dynamic journey of photogenerated carriers. This review decodes how carrier generation, recombination, transport, accumulation, extraction, and electrolyte coupling shape catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability ...

ESTIMATION OF SCS-CN FOR LOWER MAHI BASIN, GUJARAT, INDIA

open access: yes, 2016
The Soil Conservation Service Curve Number (SCS-CN) method is one of the popular method to determine the depth of surface run-off. The method takes into account the important parameters in the catchment such as soil moisture content, land use land cover ...

Urban Flood Depth Estimate With a New Calibrated Curve Number Runoff Prediction Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The 1954 Soil Conservation Services (SCS) runoff predictive model was adopted in engineering designs throughout the world. However, its runoff prediction reliability was under scrutiny by recent studies.

Neutron Reflectometry and Compression of Graded Hydrogel Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Highly‐entangled and covalently‐crosslinked hydrogels with thin and thick surface gel layers are compressed in neutron reflectometry experiments. Surface gel layer thickness dictates the extent to which the polymer network at the surface of a hydrogel collapses, while crosslinking chemistry, and therefore elastic modulus, impacts the pressure at which ...

TNF receptor–related factor 3 inactivation promotes the development of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma through NF‐κB‐inducing kinase–mediated hepatocyte transdifferentiation

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract Background and Aims Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a deadly but poorly understood disease, and its treatment options are very limited. The aim of this study was to identify the molecular drivers of ICC and search for therapeutic targets.
