Clinical and cost-effectiveness analysis of an open label, single-centre, randomised trial of spinal cord stimulation (SCS) versus percutaneous myocardial laser revascularisation (PMR) in patients with refractory angina pectoris: The SPiRiT trial

open access: yes, 2008
Background: Patients with refractory angina have significant morbidity. This study aimed to compare two of the treatment options, Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) and Percutaneous Myocardial Laser Revascularisation (PMR) in terms of clinical outcomes and ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Determination of Variation in Soil Water Storage Capacity on Watersheds

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2003
The purpose ofthis study is to bring up variation of soil water storage capacity (S) based on probability distributions on vvatersheds, and to compare S obtained from probability distribution to S according to Soil Conservation Service (SCS). İn order to

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Evaluating the Effect Watershed Mechanical Operation on Reducing Flood (Case study: Hajiabad Watershed) [PDF]

open access: yesجغرافیا و پایداری محیط, 2014
Radical increase of soil and water resource losses of watersheds has been increasingly intensified in recent decades which is mostly due to irregular utilization of the resources, exacerbating floods, increasing sedimentation rates and reducing the ...
