Toxic effects of benzovindiflupyr, a new SDHI-type fungicide on earthworms (Eisenia fetida)

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2021
Benzovindiflupyr has received increasing attention as a new novel succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI)-type fungicide. Nonetheless, its traces remaining in soil potentially trigger an ecotoxicological threat to soil organisms including earthworms. This paper evaluates the eco-toxicity of different benzovindiflupyr doses (0.1, 1, 5, and 10 mg kg-1 ...

FgSdhC Paralog Confers Natural Resistance toward SDHI Fungicides in Fusarium graminearum

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2023
Fusarium graminearum exhibited natural resistance to a majority of succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor fungicides (SDHIs) and the molecular mechanisms responsible for the natural resistance were still unknown. Succinate dehydrogenase subunit C (SdhC) is an essential gene for maintaining succinate-ubiquinone oxidoreductase (SQR) function in fungi.

Sensitivity of Stemphylium vesicarium of pear to SDHIs

2020
Stemphylium vesicarium is the causal agent of Brown Spot of Pear (BSP), producing high economical losses in several pear-growing areas in Europe. In Italy, BSP control in field can also rely on the use of SDHI (Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor) compounds such as boscalid, penthiopyrad, fluopyram and fluxapyroxad.

Bioactivity, physiological characteristics and efficacy of the SDHI fungicide pydiflumetofen against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2019
Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, which can cause Sclerotinia stem rot, is a devastating plant pathogen. This study aimed to assess the potential of pydiflumetofen, a new-generation succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicide, to control Sclerotinia stem rot.

Assessing the risk of resistance towards SDHI fungicides in France

2019
Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicides have been registered since 2006 on a large number of crops in France and resistance has been detected in nine fungal species, including Botrytis cinerea, Ustilago nuda, Helminthosporium teres, Zymoseptoria tritici and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
