Comparative Cytocompatibility and Mineralization Potential of Bio-C Sealer and TotalFill BC Sealer [PDF]
The aim of this study was to investigate the cytocompatibility and mineralization potential of two premixed hydraulic endodontic sealers compared with an epoxy resin-based root canal sealer. The cellular responses and mineralization capacity were studied

Mutagenicity of endodontic sealers
Biomaterials, 1985Four endodontic sealer materials and some of their chemical constituents were subjected to Ames' test for mutagenicity with the Salmonella/microsome assay. Extracts of two zinc oxide-eugenol based materials and of one gutta-percha-zinc oxide-chloroform based sealer were negative in the test.

Properties of Tricalcium Silicate Sealers
Journal of Endodontics, 2016Sealers based on tricalcium silicate cement aim at an interaction of the sealer with the root canal wall, alkalinity with potential antimicrobial activity, and the ability to set in a wet field. The aim of this study was to characterize and investigate the properties of a new tricalcium silicate-based sealer and verify its compliance to ISO 6876 (2012).

Dimensional changes of endodontic sealers
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1993The purpose of this study was a long-term comparison of the dimensional changes of endodontic sealers of diverse properties. The sealers were injected as thin layers on the internal walls of glass pipettes 1 mm in diameter. The pipettes were filled with deionized water, and the water meniscus levels were recorded periodically up to 180 days.

The properties of endodontic sealer cements
Journal of Endodontics, 1988Two new Ca(OH) 2 -based sealer cements, CRCS and Sealapex, were compared with Procosol cement for compressive strength, setting time, solubility, dimensional stability, and radiopacity. CRCS set within 3 days in both a dry and a humid environment and Procosol required more than 2 wk to set in 100% rH.
