Spaced‐based search coil magnetometers
AbstractSearch coil magnetometers are one of the primary tools used to study the magnetic component of low‐frequency electromagnetic waves in space. Their relatively small size, mass, and power consumption, coupled with a good frequency range and sensitivity, make them ideal for spaceflight applications.

Time dependent spin-dressing using a $^3$He atomic beam
We have performed high precision experimental measurements of spin precession using a dressed $^3$He atomic beam. Spin-dressing uses an oscillating magnetic field detuned to high frequency which is orthogonal to a static magnetic field to effectively ...

China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite search coil magnetometer data and initial results
Four levels of the data from the search coil magnetometer (SCM) onboard the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) are defined and described. The data in different levels all contain three components of the waveform and/or spectrum of the induced ...

Experimental Assessment of a Magnetic Induction-Based Receiver for Magnetic Communication
This paper presents the topology of a novel approach to magnetic communication using a differential magnetic induction (MI)-based receiver and a differential MI receiving sensor. In this paper, a differential MI sensor based on two ferromagnetic cores is

The magnetic analog with spiral search coils [PDF]
The teaching of field theory is often enriched by citing analogies among the various potential fields: heat flow fields, fluid flow fields, current flow fields, electric fields, magnetic fields, etc. Thus, the magnetic analog is old in theory. However, it appears that it has not heretofore been developed into a fully useful device.

Simultaneous measurement of distance and thickness of a thin metal plate with an electromagnetic sensor using a simplified model. [PDF]
This paper presents a simplified model which can describe the inductance change when an air-core coil is placed next to a thin nonmagnetic metallic plate.
