Efficient Search Engine Measurements [PDF]
We address the problem of externally measuring aggregate functions over documents indexed by search engines, like corpus size, index freshness, and density of duplicates in the corpus. State of the art estimators for such quantities [Bar-Yossef and Gurevich 2008b; Broder et al. 2006] are biased due to inaccurate approximation of the so called “document

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
