Printed Arabic Words Recognition Using Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesالأستاذ, 2016
The automatic recognition of  text on scanned images has enabled many application such as searching for words in large volumes of  documents, automatic sorting of postal mail, and convenient editing of previously printed documents.

Managing Unbounded-Length Keys in Comparison-Driven Data Structures with Applications to On-Line Indexing

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a general technique for optimally transforming any dynamic data structure that operates on atomic and indivisible keys by constant-time comparisons, into a data structure that handles unbounded-length keys whose comparison cost is not

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

Designing classes’ interfaces for neural network graph model

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2019
An approach to testing artificial neural networks is described. The model of neural network is based on graph theory, and operations that are used in theoretical works devoted to graphs, trees, paths, cycles, and circuits.

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Managing Contributions to the Unified Astronomy Thesaurus

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The Unified Astronomy Thesaurus (UAT) project managers have long defined the UAT as "an open, interoperable, and community-supported thesaurus." How do we solicit the detailed, comprehensive, and consistent community feedback that is required to keep the

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

CD34-positive cells and their subpopulations characterized by flow cytometry analyses on the bone marrow of healthy allogenic donors

open access: yesSão Paulo Medical Journal
CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE: Counting and separating hematopoietic stem cells from different sources has importance for research and clinical assays. Our aims here were to characterize and quantify hematopoietic cell populations in marrow donors and to ...

Transcriptional regulation of neuropeptide receptors underlies context‐dependent adaptation in Drosophila melanogaster

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Under environmental changes, the expression level of neuropeptide (NP) and neuropeptide receptor (NPR) genes changes to confer context‐dependent adaptation to the model organism Drosophila melanogaster. Through finding more regulatory elements in the NPR genes in comparison with their ligands (NPs), we found that NPR‐biased transcriptional regulation ...

Using the Complete Sequences for Sorting Natural Numbers

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2017
Complete sequences are defined as infinite sequences of natural numbers, with the help of which it is possible to represent any other natural number.
